About us
The Empty Box Company was established 20 years ago to revive beautiful Hat and Dress Boxes & to provide wonderful storage solutions for around the house. The boxes are very unique; designed to preserve treasured items such as wedding and christening gowns, in addition to looking irresistible in your home; & for tidying and organising absolutely anything!
With 50 sizes of box, in 80 different designs, there is a box for everything and everyone! Each box is handmade in the UK, in your chosen design to match your room or colour scheme & romantically finished with ribbon or cord, & trimmed with lace.

No one makes boxes quite like the Empty Box Company!
Our first box was inspired by the Edwardian Hat Box, and we have been making beautiful boxes ever since! You can select your size or type of box and choose to have it covered in any of the 80 colour options from the design pages on our website. Our boxes have enclosed a Royal Wedding Dress and have protected from fire and flood, and are requested all over the world. Visit our website and see how delicious boxes can be!

Combating this "throw away" age in which we live, The Empty Box Company has specialised in making boxes for 20 years that are made to last a lifetime. They are handmade in the Surrey Hills, and in Devon, by our creative and artistic staff. The papers to cover the boxes are chosen from British interior design companies, and the board specially milled for us to be pH neutral; this will protect, preserve and prevent yellowing of any item enclosed, which is especially important for Wedding Dresses. The board is made from 100% recycled pulp, and we use up approx 100 tonnes of recycled board per year which helps to keep the recycled paper industry thriving!
