European Heritage is recognised as one the UK's leading natural stone flooring suppliers. The company's wide range of products includes tiles - and everything else needed for floor and wall tiling, bespoke carved sinks, bowls, baths and shower trays, specialist wet room equipment - and all ancillary fixing/sealing materials. Also, an extensive range of natural wooden flooring, including a wide-boarded Multifloor timber flooring that can be under-heated without shrinking or splitting. Originally founded in 1989 by Peter Hutchinson, in a small shop in Dawes Road, Fulham, the company now has a large four-unit showroom, with an additional London location in Kensington Church Street.
Drawing from his previous experience as a professional tiler/specifier, supervising teams working on large contracts all over the world, Peter set his sights firmly on developing the business and 20,000 square feet of warehouse capacity was acquired just down the road in Parsons Green. This enables most products to be kept in stock, ready for immediate delivery or collection by clients and their contractors, avoiding the long delivery times of some competitors.
Peter regularly travels the world sourcing new and different materials - antiqued limestone, aged marbles and sandstone - and visiting stone quarries, manufacturers and tile producers. Also by attending specialist tile and stone trade shows throughout the world, he has managed to keep European Heritage ahead of the competition. The company now imports products direct from Africa, Brazil, China, France, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and Turkey - and with many products, European Heritage has exclusive distribution rights for the UK.
