What is so innovative about our cord pull? When we set out to design a cord pull it was with certain criteria in mind. We wanted it to be good-looking, comfortable to hold, but most of all to be quiet. A lot of cord pulls on the market today are novelty shapes which aren't necessarily comfortable to hold and are manufactured from a solid hard material such as wood, metal, porcelain, or plastic. They tend to bang against the adjacent wall creating an irritating noise, and often leave marks behind. We wanted our cord pull to be both comfortable to use and quiet in operation without leaving any damaging marks behind.
To do this we chose to manufacture it in a soft thermoplastic material which is equivalent in feel to hard rubber. This allows the cord pull to bounce quietly off walls when left swinging once it has been pulled. The thermoplastic will not cause any damage to surrounding walls, and will not leave any marks behind. Another advantage of the soft thermoplastic is that it is comfortable to hold. We gave it a fine orange peel texture to provide extra grip for wet hands, and made it large enough to be comfortable to hold. At 60mm tall and 30mm wide at its base the form was chosen for its simple, classic and timeless appearance.
Each cord pull is supplied with 1.5m of black polypropylene cord which has been selected for its high tensile strength. Black cord was chosen both for its contemporary appearance as well as its ability to hide those grubby finger marks often visible on white cords.
Finally we decided to offer our cord pull in a range of fresh vibrant colours to compliment the many bathroom accessories available today. These days most new bathrooms are white and so our cord pull colours stand out. and add a touch of colour to your bathroom. Some people choose a colour to compliment their bathroom accessories such as towels, etc., while others choose one simply to make a statement. You decide, but whichever colour you choose you will not be disappointed.
